Team tactics and features built for 7-a-side managers

Managing a 7-a-side team used to mean a clipboard, a group chat, and hope. iFútbol7 changes that. Here is everything the platform gives you to run your squad properly — before, during, and after every match.

Submitting your lineup before kickoff

In the *Arena Pro* and *Pro* formats, team managers submit a lineup ahead of the match. The app enforces a minimum of seven starters, so you always show up with a complete squad. No more scrambling for a last-minute replacement you haven't verified can actually play.

The lineup screen lets you drag players into position, select your formation, and lock it in. Your opponent's manager does the same — and both lineups become visible once the match kicks off, keeping it fair.

Formation selection

iFútbol7 supports the most common 7-a-side formations out of the box:

  • 3-3-1 — the workhorse. Solid defensively, balanced in midfield.
  • 2-3-2 — attack-minded, high-energy, requires fit players.
  • 3-2-2 — a more defensive midfield with a double striker.
  • 4-2 — experimental. Four at the back, two up top, midfield is shared responsibility.

Your formation history is saved across matches, so you can review what worked and adapt your setup over a season.

Substitutions and in-match changes

During a live match, managers can update the lineup in real time — swap a player, adjust a position, bring on a sub. The change is reflected immediately across all devices, so everyone on the bench and in the stands sees the updated sheet.

Live match scoring

Match scores update in real time as events are recorded. Goals are attributed to specific players, so post-match ratings reflect actual contributions — not just final scorelines. No more arguing about who scored in the second half.

Post-match ratings per player

After the final whistle, every player who appeared in the lineup receives an individual match rating between 3.0 and 9.9. Ratings are calculated automatically from match events and positional data — no subjective input from managers.

This is the feature teams use most. After a few matches, you can see at a glance which players consistently perform and which positions need reinforcing.

Squad management across the season

The squad view gives managers a full picture of their roster: each player's overall rating, recent form, and match history. You can use this to build a rotation strategy — not just pick the same seven every week.

Over a full season, the data becomes genuinely useful. You will know which combinations produce results, which players peak mid-season, and when to rest your key playmaker.

Notifications for managers

Managers receive push notifications for the key moments: player confirmations, lineup reminders before kickoff, match start, and final score. Nothing falls through the cracks without a WhatsApp thread.

What is coming next

The roadmap includes advanced stats per position, heat maps for player movement, and a dedicated manager dashboard inside the app. If you run a team on iFútbol7, the tools are only going to get more powerful.

The goal has always been the same: give amateur managers the infrastructure that professional clubs take for granted, at zero cost, on a phone.
